Sear­lier this year and now artist Chloe Ho is tak­ing the US by storm. The daugh­ter of Paulette and George Ho launched her first solo ex­hi­bi­tion in New York City, Un­der thesur­face, at the Forbes Gal­leries. In the works, she has used Chi­nese ink, wa­ter, smoke, cof­fee and other con­tem­po­rary ma­te­ri­als to ex­plore the link be­tween hu­man­ity and na­ture while simultaneously doc­u­ment­ing the psy­chol­ogy of mod­ern ur­ban­ites. “As an artist, I can only claim to be a trans­la­tor of my own ex­pe­ri­ences. My art can be said to be the prod­uct of a con­cep­tive act, and the em­bod­i­ment of my own iden­tity,” says Chloe.
