ART LOVERS HAD A SERENE EXPERIENCE AT THE OPENING OF A NEW EXHIBITION PUT TOGETHER BY ONE OF THE CITY’S ART ENTREPRENEURS

Hong Kong Tatler - - Soiree -

A distinguished group of 50 people gathered in the groundfloor exhibition space of Cosco Tower for the opening of Serenity Above, the latest curatorial venture by art pioneer and New World Development executive director Adrian Cheng. The works by two internationally renowned artists—japan’s Shunmyo Masuno and China’s Zheng Chongbin—focused on tranquillity in this age of hustle and bustle. The exhibition featured ink paintings depicting light in nature, granite sculptures and a video explaining the works, which explore the essence of calmness that can be found in nature as well as in oneself. The dim lighting, soothing music and sound of flowing water gave guests respite from their fast-paced lives.
