Hugo Boss

The Nordic style of Scandinavian men, renowned for looking good without trying too hard, was the inspiration for Boss. The look was contemporary and relaxed, with colours reflecting a polar landscape— chalky grey to dark ocean blue and deep purple. Most of the pieces were workwear, such as double- breasted pinstriped wool suits in graphite grey. Shirts were buttoned down and teamed with knitted ties. Casual looks retained a work feel— cardigan jackets and brown turtlenecks with navy blue khakis or cuffed narrow slim trousers. A highlight was a velvet tuxedo jacket with abstract paisley. Classic Scandinavian looks included thick cable- knit sweaters

and light- coloured duffel coats. Flying jackets also made an appearance, along with an ice- blue leather jacket. Duffels and doctor bags were carried as accessories. A collection as contemporary as Norway’s new landmark opera house in Oslo.
