Hong Kong Tatler - - Soiree -

More than 200 VIPS filled the Island Shangri-la Ballroom for a memorable night of fundraising for the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children at its annual ball. Titled World of Wonder and sponsored by Louis Vuitton, the ball opened with a performance by children from the preschool of the society’s Portland Street centre. The chair of fundraising, Jacqueline Chow, also made a heartfelt speech. A lively auction was conducted during a sumptuous five-course dinner. Afterwards, guests proceeded outside for a silent auction that featured artworks by Lin Guocheng and Chloe Ho. They were also able to view the Women of Wonder exhibition, a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Hong Kong Tatler, which featured photographs of five notable women— Claudine Ying, Gigi Chao, Yip Wing-sie, Mabel Cheung and Margaret Xu— who lent their faces to help raise funds. Almost HK$30 million was raised for the charity. Guests seen at the event included Joyce Tam, David Harilela and Purviz Shroff.
