Hong Kong Tatler - - Soiree -

The best chefs and hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try pro­fes­sion­als of Hong Kong and Ma­cau were feted at Hong Kong Tatler Best Restau­rants’ sec­ond an­nual awards cer­e­mony and cock­tail party, held at Mott 32. Sev­eral hun­dred guests at­tended the event, which was spon­sored by the Bank of East Asia (BEA), Per­rier-jouët and San Pel­le­grino. The party also saw the launch of the 31st edi­tion of the Hong Kong Tatler Best Restau­rants guide, fea­tur­ing more than 250 of the re­gion’s top dining des­ti­na­tions. The 2015 Top 20 Best Restau­rants list and re­cip­i­ents of the Best Of awards were also an­nounced, with three tro­phies pre­sented by Adrian Li, BEA’S ex­ec­u­tive direc­tor and deputy chief ex­ec­u­tive. Among those com­mended were Caprice’s Fabrice Vulin, who was crowned Best New Chef, and Mott 32, which landed three prizes: Best In­te­rior De­sign, Best New Restau­rant (Read­ers’ Choice) and a Top 20 gong. Guests were treated to Mott 32’s sig­na­ture dishes in canapé form, as well as an im­pres­sive choco­late and gelato spread by luxury Ital­ian con­fec­tioner Venchi. No­table guests among the gath­er­ing were Yenn Wong, Alan Lo, Jacqueline Chow and Joyce Wang, as well as top chefs Richard Ekke­bus, Jean-de­nis Le Bras, Hideaki Sato and Olivier Elzer.
