The Multi- Scale Chronograph Refs. 5975 and 4675 pay a masculine and feminine homage, respectively, to the chronograph, one of Patek Philippe’s most popular timepieces— the brand has designed and developed eight chronograph calibres entirely in-house so far. There are three distinct scales on the dial: a pulsometer with a scale calibrated to 15 pulsations, enabling one to calculate a pulse rate accurately in less than a minute; a telemeter scale to calculate distance based on the difference between the speed of light and that of sound; and a tachymeter to measure speed over a known distance.

The Patek Philippe World Time Moon Refs. 5575 and 7175 are testament to the manufacture’s belief that one must not only look to the past, but also to the future for inspiration. This unquestionably contemporary piece depicts a lifelike moon phase display instead of the standard guilloché or cloisonné enamel. Seen on two superimposed metalised
