Tare out to prove they are more than ac­ces­so­ry­mak­ers, chal­leng­ing con­ven­tions and push­ing the bound­aries of de­sign with con­ver­sa­tion pieces rich with in­flu­ences from his­tory and a fu­sion of cul­tures. The new gen­er­a­tion of fine jew­ellery, a melt­ing pot of in­trigu­ing aes­thetics, is ev­i­dence of their cre­ators’ many trav­els. Ital­ian ate­lier Fer­rar­ifirenze only re­cently joined the ranks, but founder Ilaria Fur­lotti has decades of ex­pe­ri­ence at brands such as Ste­fan Hafner, Nou­velle Bague, and Al­fieri & St John. Fer­rar­ifirenze com­bines Ital­ian crafts­man­ship with mod­ern de­signs in­spired by na­ture. The Wave range, for ex­am­ple, fea­tures a ring with five in­ter­sect­ing vo­lutes em­bel­lished by ru­bies and di­a­monds. The Fer­rar­ifirenze col­lec­tion will be avail­able at Lane Craw­ford from Fe­bru­ary.
