Designed in collaboration with Tina Green— one of Britain’s wealthiest women and the wife of retail tycoon Philip Green—the Illusion V was commissioned by an experienced European superyacht owner and will largely be used for charter.

At 58 metres and capable of sleeping 12 guests as well as a crew of 10, this vessel is ideal for entertaining. Or for relaxing, given the owner’s obsessive efforts to achieve the lowest level of noise and vibration recorded on a superyacht. There are four decks plus a sundeck, which is perfectly set up for cocktails, lounging and barbecues at sea. There’s also a large Jacuzzi, a 14-place dinner table on the upper deck and two cinemas for when the sun gets too much.

The master suite includes a study, full-width VIP stateroom and a spectacular white onyx bathroom. Throughout the yacht, the rose bud is a recurring design theme, found on cushions, carpets, bedheads and even at the bottom of the pool on the top deck, making one wonder whether the owner is Charles Foster Kane. Liberal use of travertine and house plants give the Illusion V a down-to-earth feel.

The yacht’s maximum speed is 17 knots and it boasts a range of 5,000 nautical miles. It’s available to charter in the Caribbean and Bahamas through Camper & Nicholsons International, from US$350,000 a week.
