The Silver Edge

Hong Kong Tatler - - Soiree -

This year’s Malaysia Tatler Ball was much more than a glittering affair, as the magazine also proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary. The grand event featured a mix of brilliant decor and undeniable conviviality. About 500 of society’s crème de la crème were dressed to the nines, ready to party and have a great time with their friends and peers. Held in the magnificent silver-decorated grand ballroom of the Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the evening was made merry with the energetic presence of a live band and a sumptuous five-course dinner menu, accompanied by the free flow of liquor and champagne courtesy of Moët Hennessy Diageo. After the awards ceremony there was a special performance by Australian operatic sensation Fiona Mariah, who sang favourites such as The Drinking Song from Verdi’s La Traviata and Puccini’s Nessun Dorma, ending the evening on a high note.
