The Penin­sula cel­e­brates a land­mark part­ner­ship with Lon­don’s Royal Academy of Arts

xpect to see some wild and won­der­ful art­work in, on and around The Penin­sula Hong Kong over the next three years, thanks to a new col­lab­o­ra­tion with Lon­don’s Royal Academy of Arts. The part­ner­ship will see se­lected artists (all Royal Aca­demi­cians) in­ter­act with the build­ing in sur­pris­ing and in­spired ways. “Ul­ti­mately, we would like to re­alise a dream for Hong Kong, which is to show­case pi­o­neer­ing public art that ex­cites and spurs dia­logue,” says the ho­tel’s gen­eral manager, Rainy Chan. This year, the an­nual Love Art at The Penin­sula event cel­e­brates the part­ner­ship with an in­tro­duc­tion to renowned sculp­tor Richard Wil­son. Don’t miss Wil­son in con­ver­sa­tion with the Royal Academy’s direc­tor of artis­tic pro­grammes, Tim Mar­low, at a VIP talk on March 12. The fol­low­ing evening, the city’s art glit­terati gather in the ho­tel lobby for the Love Art at The Penin­sula Art Gala—a pri­vate din­ner with the ground­break­ing artist.
