At Lam’s request, her close friend William Louey photographed her for Hong Kong Tatler
“I’ve known William for a million years,” says Lam. “He’s my ‘vanity’ so I trust him taking pictures.” She and Louey have been friends since childhood, and he insists he knows all her best angles. The dynamic duo shot Lam’s portraits in under an hour in her Pedder Street gallery. “He’s brilliant—and fast,” she adds. By day, Louey is the director of Hong Kong’s largest bus company, KMB, but this Renaissance man can also snap up a storm. He managed to find this gem of the two together from his own archives. “It’s from a very long time ago,” he quips.
