LANVIN The Parisian house cel­e­brates its 125th an­niver­sary this sea­son, and Al­ber El­baz gath­ered in­spi­ra­tion in founder Jeanne Lanvin’s first ca­reer as a fur­ni­ture designer. Prints found on wall­pa­per cre­ated by Jeanne her­self were repli­cated and lay­ered on sheer silk dresses and bro­cade coats. Keep­ing true to the Lanvin aes­thetic, hems were left un­done, while sil­hou­ettes were gen­er­ally off-body yet ef­fort­lessly flat­ter­ing. Suit­able for all ages? Most def­i­nitely, as vet­eran mod­els Am­ber Val­letta and Kirsten Owen donned the classy looks on the cat­walk.
