LANVIN The Parisian house celebrates its 125th anniversary this season, and Alber Elbaz gathered inspiration in founder Jeanne Lanvin’s first career as a furniture designer. Prints found on wallpaper created by Jeanne herself were replicated and layered on sheer silk dresses and brocade coats. Keeping true to the Lanvin aesthetic, hems were left undone, while silhouettes were generally off-body yet effortlessly flattering. Suitable for all ages? Most definitely, as veteran models Amber Valletta and Kirsten Owen donned the classy looks on the catwalk.
