BACK­GROUND

With wan­der­lust

flow­ing through her veins, Dionea Orcini was born in Italy, but divides her time be­tween the US, France, Hong Kong and Brazil. She ap­proached the world of jew­ellery armed with de­grees in fash­ion de­sign from the Uni­ver­sity of Bologna, stage and cos­tume de­sign from Charles Uni­ver­sity in Prague, and in­te­rior ar­chi­tec­ture at UCLA. She trained as a jeweller at the Miami Jew­elry School, and then pur­sued her gem­mol­ogy stud­ies at GIA in New York. She then ex­plored the se­crets of an­cient vedic gem­mol­ogy and astrology in In­dia.

Orcini launched

rit­u­als found across con­ti­nents, from Bud­dhist scrip­tures in Ti­bet to the Ayurvedic prac­tices of palm­istry and astrology in In­dia. The well-crafted pieces high­light sa­cred sym­bols through their shapes and struc­tures, and Orcini’s jew­ellery has gar­nered a fol­low­ing among celebri­ties such as Ri­hanna, Shakira, Lorde and Jen­nifer Lopez.
