Adam Hay-nicholls is the Formula One columnist for Metro, the author of three books, and an occasional contributor to Vogue, Esquire and Condé Nast Traveller. He’s on the road 265 days a year reporting from motor races around the world and lives in Paris. In 2010, Adam circumnavigated the globe in 57 hours aboard a Sabreliner, the world’s first business jet. He has also fulfilled a lifetime ambition: driving Fernando Alonso’s Formula One car flatout. This month, he gives the Porsche 911 GTS Cabriolet a whirl (p.254).
