Beating aids, one step at a time
The city’s most avid philanthropists band together for the Aids Concern Triple Zero charity run to help combat HIV
“There is an alarming increase in the HIV infection rate in Hong Kong,” says Andrew Yuen, patron of Aids Concern. For that reason he and fellow patrons Carrie Lam and Anne Marden will be lacing up with 1,000 others for the inaugural Aids Concern Triple Zero charity run/walk on Sunday April 19. “We need Hong Kong people to support our ambition for zero new infections, zero stigma and zero Aids deaths,” he says. Participants will receive T-shirts designed by artist Stanley Wong, race-day goodie bags, refreshments and a cool-down yoga class on completion of the course. This year marks the charity’s 25th anniversary. aidsconcernrun.com
