BMW HONG KONG DERBY
Socialites and horse lovers galloped to Sha Tin Racecourse for the Hong Kong Derby, invited by sponsor BMW to enjoy the spectacle from private boxes. As well as witnessing 14 elite horses compete for the HK$18 million in prize money, they were also able to try on Derby-inspired headpieces designed by Gloria Yip and taste awardwinning Scottish single malt Glenmorangie Lasanta. Derby ambassador Donnie Yen presented the trophies to the winners of the prestigious race. Luger, riden by Zac Purton, was the champion, and owner Terry Fok did a lap of honour of the course in a BMW convertible as spectators cheered their congratulations. Among the socialites at the special BMW event were Olivia Lee-davies, Emily Tang, Lianne Lam and Daniel Chan.
