Mukesh and Manoj Bu­tani look­ing sharp in their be­spoke suits ith their be­spoke sports jack­ets, spiffy trousers, and colour­ful ties and pocket squares, Manoj and Mukesh Bu­tani cre­ate a dou­ble vi­sion of the stylish mod­ern gen­tle­man. As co-di­rec­tors of their fam­ily’s Hong Kong-based jew­ellery brand, Bu­tani, the twin broth­ers take fash­ion, along with their busi­ness, se­ri­ously.

“We like to dress up ev­ery day, look­ing sharp and well-groomed. Dress­ing for suc­cess is what makes us stand out,” says Manoj. They go for be­spoke suits and have about 20 pairs of trousers and five sports jack­ets tai­lor-made for them ev­ery sea­son. “We en­joy mix­ing and match­ing ma­te­ri­als and hav­ing a bit of fun with cuts and de­sign de­tails,” adds Mukesh. When it comes to dress­ing, the broth­ers be­lieve that a splash of colour is al­ways good. The two have their own col­lec­tion of brightly coloured pocket squares and ties, and like to wear per­son­alised gem-set Bu­tani cuff­links, ex­pertly crafted in emer­alds, sap­phires, ru­bies and di­a­monds.

With their busi­ness acu­men and metic­u­lous at­ten­tion to de­tail, the broth­ers have taken Bu­tani from its roots as a neigh­bour­hood jeweller to an in­ter­na­tion­ally recog­nised fine jew­ellery brand. “It’s an ex­cit­ing time for us, with the re­lease of our new col­lec­tion, Metropoli­tan, and the open­ing of our sec­ond bou­tique in Hong Kong at The Penin­sula,” says Manoj. The twins be­lieve that peo­ple who know them can iden­tify their sense of style with their brand. “Ev­ery­thing is one of a kind with us,” they add. “For ex­tra flair, we like adding a touch of colour to our sports jack­ets” Manoj: “You can never go wrong with Ray-ban’s clas­sic Way­far­ers; they’re great for travel” “Di­a­mond cuff­links are es­sen­tial for us, as th­ese match ev­ery­thing” Mukesh: “This is my sec­ond Breguet; I just love how mas­cu­line it looks“
