Beijing

With the launch of the Nuo Hotel Beijing, the Chinese capital gains a new luxury treat featuring impressive interiors by hospitality design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates. The layout and decor combine contemporary opulence with traditional Chinese elements inspired by the Ming dynasty—think warm woods and leather, silk patterns on the walls, marble floors, jewel-toned accessories—and spectacular floor-to-ceiling views of the city, of course. The five-star hotel includes 439 guest rooms, with 56 suites and an Executive Club Lounge. Relax in the hotel’s traditional teahouse, sample fine cuisine and cocktails at its six restaurants and bars, amble through its art gallery (which exhibits works by the likes of Zeng Fanzhi, who also serves as the hotel’s art consultant) or book out its 17,200sqft grand ballroom for a private event. The property also makes exploring the rest of the city perfectly convenient, given its proximity to Beijing’s 798 Art Zone, the city’s hub for all things art and culture. nuohotels.com
