MOTHER’S CHOICE GALA DINNER
With the theme “A Night in Hollywood,” the glittering annual Mother’s Choice ball drew a legion of Hong Kong’s children’s rights advocates to the JW Marriott. The night celebrated Hollywood for shining a spotlight on the many critical issues that Mother’s Choice deals with every day. A record-breaking HK$19.2 million was raised through silent and live auctions to fund the much-needed services of the organisation. The CEO of Mother’s Choice, Alia Eyres, said, “At Mother’s Choice, we are often told that many of our cases are hopeless. But I believe that we can have hope, especially when change-makers like those at our gala dinner are willing to join hands with us to transform lives and give hope to our city.” In attendance were many familiar faces that have been long-time Mother’s Choice supporters, including Purviz Shroff, Max and Monique Burger, Harry and Indra Banga, and Phyllis Marwah, the organisation’s co-founder.
