The kolour of youth
The granddaughter of property tycoon Lee Shau-kee spearheads her first big project
At just 25 years of age, Kristine Li is driving Henderson Land Development’s HK$230 million effort to make over and rebrand its two Citimalls as Kolour malls. Li, the eldest granddaughter of Lee Shau-kee, completed a degree in international relations at Stanford University less than three years ago and is now the assistant general manager of portfolio leasing at the Henderson group. She expects business at the new-look Kolour Yuen Long and its sister mall, Kolour Tsuen Wan, to grow by 40 per cent after the refurbishment. “The pressure is on because it is a family business, but my grandfather is giving me a lot of valuable advice,” says Li.
