NIIN ZAYAH COLLECTION LAUNCH
Some of the city’s most successful women gathered at Niin’s Sheung Wan store for the launch of the jewellery brand’s latest collection, which is called Zayah after a woman’s name in traditional Tibetan culture. Founder Jeanine Hsu said that in focusing on the Earth’s “dynamic geometric shapes” and the natural elements that have changed the Earth over time, “the idea of transformation became my initial inspiration.” The designer was also inspired by Cleopatra and commissioned artist Tanya Bennett to paint portraits of 10 “modern Cleopatras” of Hong Kong for the launch. Three of the models, Claire Hsu, Katie de Tilly and Mimi Brown, attended the event, during which the portraits were auctioned off for the benefit of WWF Hong Kong. The VIP guests enjoyed Fiol prosecco, Jax Coco coconut water and hors d’oeuvres by Mitte.
