Blush of summer

Hong Kong Tatler - - Wine -

From Mykonos to St Tropez, Château d’esclans Garrus in magnum form was the most prestigious rosé of the summer, even if a bottle cost as much as 800 in restaurants. The blush wine shows the structure and freshness of a top white Burgundy, although it is made from old-vine grenache planted in hillside vineyards in the French appellation of Côtes de Provence, about a 40-minute drive from the beaches of St Tropez. The 2013 Garrus was the vintage on most wine lists and I think it’s the best so far, although 2014 could better it. 96 points
