Brand Origin Boston

Background Founded in 1845 as one of the first luxury leather houses in the us, Mark cross closed its doors in the 1990s; the heritage label was revived in 2011. Taking inspiration from its vintage archives and using traditional production methods, the brand fuses contemporary aesthetics with its rich past.

Brand Signature With a history dating back 170 years, it’s not surprising that the Mark cross archives provide a key source of inspiration. The brand’s most famed piece is the grace Box bag—which has been revamped and repackaged for a contemporary feel.

LATEST collection Sticking to sleek aesthetics, signature Mark cross pieces have been reintroduced in new colours and materials. Saturated hues in blood orange, aubergine and emerald add interest to leather quilting, haircalf and python. The season’s notable new pieces are the Hart carryall and the rear Window overnight case; the latter is replicated from the brand’s archives and was famously carried by grace kelly in the 1954 Hitchcock film.
