One of the most prom­i­nent fig­ures in the city’s lux­ury goods sec­tor launched his epony­mous strate­gic mar­ket­ing con­sul­tancy, Peter Cheung Asia, with a cel­e­bra­tion in the Grand Hy­att Hong Kong’s re­cently rein­vented Grand Club Lounge, over­look­ing Vic­to­ria Har­bour. Peter, a for­mer Hong Kong Tatler so­cial editor, has a di­verse and grow­ing client list, which in­cludes jew­ellery mai­son Van Cleef & Ar­pels, Paris-based cou­turier Gas­pard Yurkievich and su­per­model Philip Huang. Ac­cord­ing to Peter, “Asian con­sumers’ tastes have be­come more in­di­vid­u­alised, and the mar­ket is wit­ness­ing new trends in con­sumer de­mands and as­pi­ra­tions. I want to work with a va­ri­ety of clients, and pro­vide diver­si­fied and tai­lor-made ser­vices to sup­port them to grow their Asia-pa­cific pres­ence in chang­ing times.” Hun­dreds of so­cial movers and shakers joined lux­ury busi­ness pro­fes­sion­als in con­grat­u­lat­ing him on his new ven­ture.
