CREAM OF THE CROP
Hong Kong Tatler’s restaurant awards will be revealed this month at an exclusive event to launch the 32nd addition of our annual dining bible
Our annual guide to the year’s best dining experiences and culinary destinations, Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants, will be launched on November 19 at an exclusive soiree for more than 400 of Hong Kong and Macau’s top culinary professionals. The glittering event will also see the revelation of the Top 20 restaurants and the presentation of awards to the hospitality champions of the two cities.
Hong Kong Tatler’s reviewers visit, incognito, more than 250 restaurants every year to assess them for our annual dining bible and awards. Foodies and the hospitality sector eagerly anticipate the awards and the Top 20, which last year included newcomers such as Mott 32, Serge et Le Phoque and Bibo.
It’s been a fantastic year for the opening of new hospitality outlets, and the shortlist of award contenders includes exciting newcomers such as Arcane, Tri, Mr & Mrs Fox, Ta Vie, Shinji by Kanesaka and Umberto Bombana’s new Macau restaurant, Otto e Mezzo.
In addition to Best New Restaurant, awards for Best New Chef, Best Pastry Chef, and Best Cocktails, among others, will also be bestowed, along with the Readers’ Choice award for Best New Restaurant, which was the subject of a week-long vote held on Hongkongtatler.com in October.
Follow the action on the awards night with the hashtag #BRG2016 and head to Hongkongtatler.com in the following days for the full list of recipients and highlights from the cocktail party.
