As the feast drew to a close, award-winning cover band Liquid Blue fired up and instantly had people out of their seats with an energetic set of catchy pop hits. The group, specially flown in from the US for the ball, was soon joined on stage by Peter Cheung, who sang a lively rendition of Copacabana. Later, Thierry Mandonnaud succumbed to temptation and accompanied the backup dancers on stage for a number. On the dance floor, Claudia Shaw signalled it was time to really party by removing her heels. A pile of shoes quickly formed beside the dance floor, to which Tony Cruz even added his phone and wallet—nothing was to weigh down the revellers! Meanwhile, Chloe Ho tore up the dance floor with Mark Peaker while her parents, George and Paulette, cheered from the sidelines.
