MR PORTER PRIVATE DINNER

Hong Kong Tatler - - Faces -

Like precious objets d’art, eight exclusive capsule collections of men’s shoes created for Mr Porter’s new campaign, The World’s Best Shoes, were displayed under glass and spotlights at the online retailer’s private dinner. And they’re just the tip of the iceberg—the authority on men’s style now boasts an extensive selection of 90 footwear designers across 13 categories. Mr Porter transformed a Chai Wan studio into a chic dining space and treated 60 of Hong Kong’s well-heeled gentlemen to an indulgent menu of contemporary British comfort food, courtesy of Tom Aikens from The Pawn, to launch the campaign. Our personal favourite was the dessert—a heavenly triple chocolate brownie. Notable guests present included Mr Porter’s buying and sales director, Toby Bateman, along with Brandon Chau, Loui Lim and Feiping Chang.
