that’s “ms” to you Xi­a­men-based de­signer min Liu grad­u­ated with a Ba in Wom­enswear from the Lon­don Col­lege of Fash­ion in 2007. Fol­low­ing a year-long stint in the de­sign depart­ment at Vik­tor & Rolf, she took an as­sis­tant de­signer post with Ports 1961 be­fore launch­ing her own brand, ms min, in Jan­uary 2010.

From min to max Min Liu cre­ated her first col­lec­tion on a small sewing ma­chine in her 650sqft house in xi­a­men and ini­tially sold it on e-commerce site taobao. now car­ried by a num­ber of China’s top bou­tiques, ms min de­buted at Lon­don Fash­ion Week in 2014 and is one of the three Chi­nese wom­enswear de­sign­ers now stocked by Lane Craw­ford.

Lit­tle ms strong Th­ese are fem­i­nine, pow­er­ful clothes, made for the fash­ion­able, in­de­pen­dent woman. she de­scribes the style as, “sim­plic­ity with depth, ro­man­ti­cism with edge and clas­sics with a twist.”
