BACKGROUND

A self-taught designer, Jessica Mccormack grew up in new Zealand surrounded by vintage jewellery and antiques. Her father had an auction house, and it was there that she came to appreciate the beauty of gemstones.

Partnership

After an internship in sotheby’s jewellery department in the UK, Mccormack brought her eponymous brand to life, partnering with two people who shared her passion for diamonds: rachel slack, the granddaughter of late de Beers chairman Harry Oppenheimer, and Michael rosenfeld, a thirdgeneration diamond dealer and art collector. The trio set up shop in london’s Mayfair district in a grand 19th-century townhouse with interiors designed by Mccormack and filled with a collection of art and precious antiques.

design signature

Mccormack’s aim is to create jewels that are as extraordinary as the diamonds she uses. Most of her pieces are unique and are often inspired by history. each piece is designed with an eye and an ear for people’s personal stories, and created by hand in the Mccormack workshop in Mayfair.
