Long arm of the law
Two Asian wine collectors are suing California wine retailer Premier Cru after the shop failed to deliver wines several years after purchase, Wine Spectator reports. The two collectors are accusing the retailer of fraud, breach of contract and misrepresentation in two separate court cases. One plaintiff claimed that hundreds of bottles purchased as early as 2003 still haven’t arrived yet. The second alleged that among 1,591 bottles of wines purchased between 2011 and 2014, less than 100 bottles have arrived so far. The company declined to comment on the lawsuits but said they are working to improve service, the report adds.
