ancy the musical equivalent of enjoying a glass of wine in a bubble bath? Then take note: Diana Krall is bringing her distinctive sultry tones to the city for a night of jazz and pop classics. The renowned jazz pianist and singer, who has won five Grammy awards, is on a world tour to promote her 12th studio album, Wallflower. Krall, who began playing the piano when she was just four years old, is renowned for her husky vocals and sensitive tinkling of the ivories. With her emotive covers of popular songs, she has sold more albums than any other female jazz artist in the past 30 years. Her latest album takes a distinct turn in the direction of pop and features tunes with Bryan Adams and Michael Bublé. Expect an evening of bopping along to the likes of the Mamas & the Papas’ California Dreaming and swaying epically to the Eagles’ rock ballad Desperado.
