Getting intimate

Hong Kong Tatler - - Concierge -

With a stellar line-up sure to sate the city’s classical music junkies, the International Chamber Music Festival gets the fragrant harbour’s 2016 cultural calendar off to a melodic start. Taiwanese violinist Choliang Lin (pictured) returns as artistic director of the festival, overseeing a programme of world-class concerts spanning the gamut of classical music. The festival kicks off with a night of performances that include a Dohnányi serenade performed by a string trio, and a Bartók sonata for two pianos and percussion. Masterclasses, open rehearsals, talks and lectures augment the recitals to provide added insight. January 22–27; various times, prices and venues; pphk.org
