As the sun set be­hind the South China Sea, a wave of movers and shak­ers from the food and bev­er­age sec­tors of Hong Kong and Ma­cau flooded The Ocean in Re­pulse Bay for a glit­ter­ing cock­tail party to launch the 2016 edi­tion of Hong Kong Tatler Best Restau­rants. The 260 guests, who in­cluded lead­ing restau­ra­teurs and chefs from the two cities, were treated to a di­verse range of top-notch canapés and sushi fea­tur­ing sus­tain­able seafood cour­tesy of The Ocean, and free-flow­ing cham­pagne from Per­rier-jouët. The high­light of the night was the pre­sen­ta­tion of the Hong Kong Tatler Best Restau­rants Awards, in­clud­ing the ea­gerly awaited Top 20 List.
