Changyu Château

Hong Kong Tatler - - Life -

Chinese wine giant Changyu Group has bought a 90 per cent share of Château Mirefleurs, a Bordeaux Supérieur estate owned by Castel, France’s largest wine family, for 3.33 million. This is the company’s first wine-estate acquisition in France and follows on its 2013 purchase of Roullet-fransac in Cognac. The deal is expected to further strengthen the partnership between Changyu and Castel; the two companies also own the Changyu-castel wine estate in China’s Shandong province.
