A-listers from the entertainment world unite to celebrate The Power of Film— Filmaid’s unique fundraising gala
he number of refugees has reached its highest point since the Second World War, according to the UN, with more than 60 million people homeless and displaced worldwide. The efforts of Filmaid—a charity founded in 2004 by producer Caroline Baron and actor Robert Deniro that shows films (both educational and entertaining) in refugee camps—are desperately needed more than ever. This year’s Filmaid Asia fundraising event will be co-chaired by actor-director Donnie Yen and supported by committee members Divia Harilela, Olivia Croucher Buckingham, Peter Cheung, Jonathan Cheung, Arne Eggers, Francisco Ricafort and Federico Tan. The evening spectacular is set to unite the leading lights of the entertainment, luxury and business worlds in supporting refugees in need.
