JEWELLERY designer BACKGROUND Born in New York, fashion designer turned jeweller Diane Kordas studied at the prestigious Parsons School of Design and relocated to London in 1995. During a holiday in Athens, she discovered the work of local jewellery craftsmen, which kick-started her love affair with fine jewels. Kordas launched her namesake brand in 2000; today, she runs a standalone boutique in South Kensington, with several points of sale worldwide and 11 active collections under her belt to date. She divides her time between her homes in Greece, London and New York.

DESIGN SIGNATURE “Casual and classic— but above all, timeless” is her mantra when it comes to jewellery. Kordas prefers to keep her designs simple with a touch of modern glamour, but once in a while gives in to her playful and edgy side, creating pieces with a distinct vibe as seen in her Pop Art, Geometric and Starburst collections.

SCENT AMULETS Kordas gets intimate and luxurious with her latest project, Amulette, a range of perfume amulets crafted in 18K red gold that can hold the scent of a favourite fragrance. Worn on long gold chains, the amulets feature lavish stoppers encrusted with diamonds and set with precious coloured stones such as black onyx. The amulet pendants reflect Kordas’ design signatures: minimalist and asymmetric yet elegant.
