At its annual gala dinner, Michelle Ong-cheung’s First Initiative Foundation celebrates French impressionist painter Claude Monet
ollowing the focus on music and theatrics at last year’s gala dinner for the First Initiative Foundation (FIF), this year’s event will turn its attention to art—specifically, French impressionist master Claude Monet. The dinner on May 10 will see FIF taking over the picturesque Hong Kong Heritage Museum. Guests will get the chance to view Le French May’s highly anticipated exhibition, Claude Monet: The Spirit of Place, which features 17 Monet paintings from France’s Réunion des Musées Nationaux that are being shown for the first time in Hong Kong. The gala dinner also celebrates the publication of FIF’S My Monet, a fun, illustrated bilingual book that aims to benefit younger museum visitors.
