Graduates of some of the world’s most prestigious universities prepare to party at the annual Ivy Ball
Jointly organised by the local alumni associations of Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Yale and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, this year’s Ivy Ball is the 27th instalment since the event’s inception in 1989. This year’s theme, “Ivy Galaxy,” evokes the realms of outer space, with blast-off taking place on June 4 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. With more than 800 people scheduled to attend, it’s set to be the biggest Ivy Ball yet. The event will be followed by a lively afterparty at the Bungalow nightclub in Central. “The Ivy Ball is the only time of the year when the alumni of all the Ivy League schools and MIT can come together along with their friends to reminisce and have fun,” this year’s ball co-chairman, Alexander Ting, said.
