he red-car­pet glam­our and splen­dour of the Hong Kong Tatler Ball, the most an­tic­i­pated event of the so­cial sea­son, re­turn to the ball­room of the Grand Hy­att on Septem­ber 10. This year’s bash is set to be yet an­other black-tie bo­nanza. The evening will see glama­zons, tastemak­ers and ty­coons slip on their danc­ing shoes and brace them­selves for a night brim­ming with fun, fan­fare and a good dash of fri­vol­ity, all made pos­si­ble by the kind spon­sor­ship of The Ma­callan, Vacheron Con­stantin and Shang­hai Tang. This year’s theme is The Splen­did Jour­ney, and guests can ex­pect, via the decor, danc­ing and de­gus­ta­tion, to be taken on a mag­i­cal ad­ven­ture em­body­ing the very spirit of travel. We will also be re­veal­ing the re­cip­i­ents of our much-an­tic­i­pated Hong Kong Tatler awards: Most Promis­ing Young Lady, Leader of To­mor­row, Most Stylish Woman and the Di­a­mond Award, which recog­nises im­por­tant phil­an­thropic con­tri­bu­tions. It will most cer­tainly be a night to re­mem­ber. Lane Craw­ford will host a party on Septem­ber 7 at its IFC store to cel­e­brate the new brands and emerg­ing de­sign­ers avail­able, fol­lowed by a party at the Can­ton Road bou­tique the next day. A high­light will be the pres­ence of shoe de­signer Stella Luna. A pri­vate din­ner will also be held for Stella and VIPS on Septem­ber 8. HAT TRICK Guests will learn how to stylishly in­cor­po­rate a hat into their out­fit at a party Joyce is host­ing at its Cen­tral flag­ship bou­tique on Septem­ber 8.

NIGHT FEVER Peter Che­ung takes to the stage with the band Liq­uid Blue at last year’s event ON THE GRAPEVINE ASC Fine Wines is host­ing an in­vite-only party at the Man­darin Ori­en­tal on Septem­ber 29 to launch the new la­bel de­sign for Do­maines Barons de Rothschild’s Lé­gende line of Bordeaux wines.
