Pi­aget re­vis­its an icon and mod­ernises it with steel. Char­lene Co ex­plains why the Polo S is worth talk­ing about

f there’s one thing Pi­aget has proven re­cently, it’s that there’s much more to the brand than just be­ing the “mas­ter” of ul­tra-thin move­ments. With more than 20 such move­ments un­der its belt, and de­spite other watch­mak­ers hav­ing made com­mend­able strides in this area, this rep­u­ta­tion re­mains un­chal­lenged.

But the brand is show­ing a dis­tinct aes­thetic fo­cus of late with col­lec­tions like Se­crets & Lights—a Myth­i­cal Jour­ney by Pi­aget, an haute hor­logerie line in­tro­duced in 2015 that show­cases the artis­tic skills of Pi­aget’s watch­mak­ers and crafts­men.
