Chief Secretary Carrie Lam hosted a cocktail party at her Barker Road home to launch Lumières Hong Kong, an arts festival that will see an array of projections and light installations illuminate nine heritage buildings in Central and Soho in mid-november. The brainchild of Le French May CEO Julien-loïc Garin, the festival is inspired by the Fête des Lumières, or Festival of Lights, in the French city of Lyon. Nine local and international artists have been invited to create works inspired by Hong Kong’s culture and history.
