Paint the Town Red

Hong Kong Tatler - - Upfront -

Stylish red-soled guests stepped out for an exclusive party at trendy gintonería Ping Pong 129 hosted by Hong Kong Tatler and Christian Louboutin. They were celebrating the launch of three new fragrances—trouble in Heaven, Bikini Questa Sera and Tornade Blonde—and a new line of lipsticks and lip liners, all part of the brand’s growing collection of beauty products. Inside the former ping-pong hall the theme was traditional Hong Kong, with canapés served from a pop-up dim sum stall. Mini vegetable buns and fried rice rolls were served from bamboo steamer baskets that had clearly undergone the Louboutin treatment and were finished with the shoe designer’s signature red. Monsieur Louboutin himself made an appearance later in the evening, happily posing for photos with guests. And although the space resembled old Hong Kong, the playlist was very modern—louboutin and Tina Leung hit the dancefloor to the tunes of Rihanna, Daft Punk and Mika.
