ALL ABOARD
A typical itinerary for a five-night cruise on the Amandira would include:
Day 1: Dive, kayak or snorkle around the reefs surrounding Satonda Island.
Day 2: Wake up to the reefs of Batu Moncho Bay for manta ray- and dolphinspotting, snorkelling and wakeboarding.
Day 3: Sail the vibrant waters of Gili Lawa Laut for more snorkelling, diving and champagne sunset chasing.
Day 4: Take an expert-led trek to find Komodo dragons, then cruise to Wainilu Island, north of Rinca, for an afternoon dive and a starlit barbecue on the beach. Day 5: Discover more Komodo dragons, water buffalo, horses and monkeys on Rinca Island.
Day 6: Explore Sabayor’s multicoloured reefs teeming with tropical fish.
The Amandira accommodates up to three couples or a family of 10 and can be chartered in tandem with the coastal cruiser Amanikan, which has three luxurious above-deck cabins. The experience includes a private chef and a massage therapist on board. Guests can opt to personalise their itinerary for trips around Komodo National Park or the Raja Ampat archipelago, which will also come with two nights’ stay in “ocean tents” at Amanwana (pictured), a luxury tented wilderness hideaway on Moyo Island that offers beach activities, diving, sailing, yoga and holistic therapies, as well as a waterfall excursion.
