Hideaki Sato Ben­jamin and Christy Liang Chefs, restau­ra­teurs and food­ies came to­gether for the fourth con­sec­u­tive year to cel­e­brate the launch of the 2017 Hong Kong Tatler Best Restau­rants guide. The cli­max of the event, held at the Seafood Room in Cause­way Bay, was the un­veil­ing of our Top 20 Best Restau­rants and the pre­sen­ta­tion of seven spe­cial din­ing awards. May Chow car­ried off the award for Lo­cal Cham­pion, and her ac­cep­tance speech had the crowd in fits of laugh­ter. A spe­cial short film fea­tur­ing four top chefs on a quest to cel­e­brate Hong Kong food cul­ture also pre­miered dur­ing the evening. Manoj and Manesh Chel­laram Guests sipped Lau­rent­per­rier Cu­vée Rosé Cham­pagne, draught beer from Peroni, and wa­ters and juices from San Pellegrino and Ac­qua Panna
