The luxe life

Top Thai property developer Sansiri has built its name on stylish homes in prime locations

-

Many people look for a luxury residence that’s located amid the hustle and bustle but offers an oasis of calm when you step inside. And that’s exactly what Thailand’s leading property developer Sansiri has been delivering for the past 33 years with its more than 300 projects across the country.

One of its projects in Bangkok, The XXXIX by Sansiri, was sold out at the end of 2012, well before it was completed in 2016. This striking 32-storey tower has 178 apartments ranging in size from 538sqft to 3,476sqft. All of them have a 2.9m-high ceiling and interiors crafted with eight types of marble.

It’s located in a vibrant expat community at Sukhumvit Soi 39, surrounded by high-end shopping destinations such as The Emquartier and The Emporium. Amenities for residents and guests include a leisure activity floor with an infinity pool and a wellequipped business centre. It’s much like a luxury hotel, but this is home.

Another gem by Sansiri, 98 Wireless, will be completed in March 2017. Located on a tree-lined boulevard close to both Lumpini Park and major shopping precincts, the 25-storey high-rise consists of 77 luxurious units that include two- to threebedroom residences, penthouses and The One, a two-level “super penthouse.”

The units range from 1,288 to 10,204sqft for the super penthouse and are finished with solid white-oak herringbone flooring, rare crotch mahogany door panels from the United States, weathered Portuguese Moleanos limestone and hand-picked statuario marble from Italy. They come with top-notch appliances from the likes of Sub-zero and Gaggenau.

This attention to detail continues in the elegant tea salon and business centre, which feature Ralph Lauren Home furnishings styled by well-known New York interior designer Anne Carson. Residents are well looked after by dedicated butlers, a Bentley limousine service and luxury concierge firm Quintessentially.

And Sansiri’s portfolio continues to grow, with two more projects due to be completed by 2020 in the upmarket district of Thong Lo.

One of them is The Monument Thong Lo on Sukhumvit 55, a collaboration with public transport operator BTS. The 46-storey block will be keenly sought after for its lush gardens featuring mature trees, apartments that range from 1,337 to 7,125sqft and come with 3.3m-high ceilings, and a unique swimming pool.

The other is Khun by Yoo inspired by Starck, which will be Sansiri’s first branded residence, bearing the name of legendary French designer Philippe Starck and the studio he co-founded. Expect his whimsical, innovative interior design throughout the 27-storey, 148-unit building, such as copper and sparkling crystal juxtaposed with raw concrete for a modern, edgy look. The project’s smart design will ensure picturesque city or green views from all units, which will start from 446sqft and go up to 3,258sqft. Facilities include a 30m infinity swimming pool with a glass-panelled gym above it and a sky garden with a panoramic view of Bangkok.

Sansiri’s premium properties also make good investments. Units in The XXXIX by Sansiri, for example, have gone up in value by 30 to 42 per cent since they hit the market in 2012. These are beautiful residences that will stand the test of time.
