Hong Kong Tatler - - Faces -

The glamour and excitement of the international showjumping circuit returned to the city with the fifth edition of the Longines Hong Kong Masters. To make the most of the three days of competition and socialising, Hong Kong Tatler hosted VIPS to watch the competition. The high point of Saturday’s programme, held at Asiaworld-expo, was the Longines Speed Challenge. German rider Daniel Deusser proved victorious, beating Pius Schwizer of Switzerland and Bertram Allen of Ireland. Another German rider, Christian Ahlmann, claimed the championship crown in Sunday’s main event, the Longines Grand Prix, an Olympic-level course of 12 obstacles and 15 jumps. Internationally renowned horse-whisperer Santi Serra and his trio of performing horses mesmerised the crowd with choreographed routines of natural dressage, and guests also enjoyed a range of non-equine entertainment, including a lively performance by Belgian musician Alice on the Roof.
