Bespoke jeweller Diana Zhang kicked off her heels and blossomed for our cover shoot

Hong Kong Tatler - - Behind The Scenes -

hen she arrived for our shoot in a contrasting pair of spiky Louboutins—one black, one white—it was clear Diana Zhang has her own unique take on style. Trying on the clothes, she loved everything by Gucci and Dior, and was particularly taken with a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti heels. In donning a cropped one-shoulder look from Isabel Marant, Diana exposed a washboard stomach. Concerned that it might be too revealing, she was reassured by the Hong Kong Tatler editors—who weren’t in the least bit jealous of her wonderfully toned abs. Prop stylist Gemma Hayden Blest set buckets of flowers all over a set decorated with Chinese panels from Lala Curio. One of the shots involved the entire crew scattering rose petals in front of a fan to be blown over Diana while she danced around to Taylor Swift. Endlessly chirpy and polite throughout the exhausting full-day shoot, our model collapsed in a heap after the last photo was shot. We sent her home for a well-earned rest with a huge bunch of roses.

Turn to p.114 for the the cover story. Diana Zhang’s Orchid King necklace, which can be separated into a brooch, choker and hair accessory, is formed from titanium and 18K gold, and set with 12 carats of Colombian emeralds and more than 5,500 diamonds.
