Development of Sea Buckthorn & Abelmoschus manihot Liqueur

Abstract: In this study, the production of sea buckthorn & Abelmoschus manihot liqueur was explored. The optimum technical parameters were summed up through single factor test and orthogonal test as follows: 38 % vol alcohol content, 30 % base liquor, 25 % extracting liquid of sea buckthorn, 12 % extracting liquid of dried Abelmoschus manihot flowers, 0.013 % Qingxiang flavoring agent, 0.011 % sorghum flavoring agent, and 0.015 % ethyl maltol. The liqueur was brown yellow in color and transparent, had complex aroma of sea buckthorn and dried Abelmoschus manihot flowers, and had soft taste. Besides, its quality met national health standards.
