In the first half of 2018, many film and TV pro­grams fea­tur­ing “lit­tle fresh meat,” a buzz­word in China to de­scribe young and hand­some male celebri­ties, were less sought af­ter than be­fore. Some im­proper re­marks and be­hav­ior by these young celebri­ties on re­al­ity shows even gen­er­ated con­tro­ver­sies for break­ing so­cial val­ues and norms. Over the years, the fan econ­omy driven by these young stars has con­sti­tuted an im­por­tant part of the show busi­ness econ­omy and the en­ter­tain­ment in­dus­try. Nowa­days, how­ever, the mar­ket has be­come in­creas­ingly rea­son­able, re­flect­ing the tran­si­tion from mass con­sump­tion to the re­turn of ra­tio­nal­ity.
