Montblan c’s Black and White Weeks
April was a month of commemoration, celebrations, and celebrities at Montblanc, as the brand marked the 90th anniversary of the Meisterstück collection, its line of writing instruments that first starred its now iconic six-point white star logo. The global extravaganza that was the Black and White Weeks kicked off with a dinner gala in New York, which was attended by, among others, Edward Norton, Rosario Dawson, Penn Badgely, Olivia Palermo, Sebastian Stan, Tyson Beckford, Anthony Mackie, and Stephen Baldwin, who were welcomed by Montblanc’s CEO, Jérôme Lambert. In show of the brand’s support for the art of writing, Montblanc took this opportunity to announce its partnership with the Tribeca Film Institute and Nelson Mandela Foundation, as well as its continued support for the Power of Words project.
The lavish festivities also made their way to Asia, with stops in Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. At the Montblanc Black & White Weeks exhibition held in Shanghai, film star Gwai Lun-Mei was announced as the brand ambassador of Montblanc China; she was handpicked for her elegance and classy demeanor.
At the weeklong event in Hong Kong, renowned composer, Chiu Tsang Hei, made an appearance at the opening ceremonies, where he shared his passion for the Meisterstück. It was also at the Black & White event here that Montblanc officially announced the endorsement of Hugh Jackman, as its global brand ambassador. His international campaign entitled “I Tell Stories” and behind-the-scene video likewise made their debut at the event.
To further mark this milestone for the Meisterstück, Montblanc launched the Meisterstück Heritage Collection, with a limited production of only 90 timepieces – 90 signifying the 90th anniversary of the Montblanc Meisterstück pen.
